INFORMATION regarding Legislative decree no. 196 dated 30.06.2000
Under article 13 of legislative decree no. 196 dated 30.06.2003 (“legal code concerning the protection of personal data”) it is specified that personal data provided may be used as follows:
- commercial purposes, direct sales, marketing and advertising, promotional sales, statistical research, all by means of processing using established criteria;
- for registering compulsory data required by law as protection against avoidance of payment of goods ordered; refusal to supply said data will mean that goods ordered cannot be delivered;
- other data (e.g. telephone no., age) are optional but enable the company to provide customers with a more efficient service:
The company guarantees that:
- personal data will not be divulged;
- personal data may be handled by employees or associated personnel specifically involved in processing orders or the sending of advertising material or dealing with evasion of order payment as well as third parties who provide specific services strictly related to honouring the sales agreement stipulated, such as:
- data entry operations, personalisation and mailing of advertising materials, call centre contact;
- The Italian Post Office S.p.a.
- the payment service provider
-internet site provider and its employees
-The customer/user has the right to request and obtain as follows without delay:
a) confirmation of the existence of personal data regarding them, even if not yet registered, and the communication in intelligible form of such data and its origin, as well as the purpose, method, circumstances and motivation of treatment of such data.
b) personal details of the owner and manager of the company;
c) the removal, conversion into anonymous form or the blocking of data processed in violation of the law;
d) the updating, correction, or where desired, the addition of data;
e) written assurance that the procedural operations requested in c) and d) above have been communicated to the people directly concerned, unless it is unfeasible to do so or would necessitate efforts manifestly out of proportion to the right to be safeguarded;
f) to have free access to registered information as stated in article 37 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 regarding the processing of their personal data;
g) the right to withhold personal data used for the purposes of advertising and direct sales and marketing.
